Hello, I am trying to install 7100 64-bit from my DVD. And I can't delete old partitions (created when I installed the 7000) and I certainly need to rearange them. All I can do is format two of them, but not delete and then allocate again. How to fix it, please?

Additional info: I have a WD 500gb disc. And I can't use any third-party programs, because I already formated the system disc (I am writing this on my laptop, wich does not have a floppy/optical mechanics).

Hello Rustfizzle, and welcome to Seven Forums.

This will show you how to wipeout everything on that hard drive from your Windows 7 installation disc. :)

1. Boot to the command prompt from your Windows 7 installation DVD.

2. In the command prompt, type diskpart and press enter.

3. In the command prompt, type list disk and press enter.

4. In the command prompt, type select disk # and press enter.
NOTE: Substitute # with the actual number of the listed disk that you want to wipeout. For example, if you want to wipeout the listed disk 1, then type select disk 1 and press enter.

5. In the command prompt, type clean and press enter.

6. In the command prompt, type exit and press enter.

7. Close the the command prompt and System Recovery Options windows using the X at top right corner.

8. Install Windows 7.

Hope this helps,
Shawn
