7100 Problem

I have Build 7100, and it doesn't seem to be working... Whenever I try to access the control panel, it says it couldn't find the path, program, or file. "You may not have the correct permissions to access..."

Has anyone come across this? I did a clean install as MSFT recommended.

If anyone could offer any advice that would be v. helpful.

First, thanks for your help.

Shortly before you both posted, I reinstalled Seven, and deleted all previous disk portions, and created a new one, without formatting it. Thus Windows Seven now works fine on my laptop, without looking Windows 98, and I have access to all programmes.

This was my third reinstall. The first time I just used the unallocated space. The second time I created a new disk portion but formatted it. I don't why not formatting the disk makes a difference but it does.

Thanks myzr7, It's not my primary PC, so I probably wont be doing much on it, there fore not needing the tutorials, but I'll sure as heck look there if I need help. :huh:
