7201 - Those running it, what's new?

I can now say, that the Danish language pack DON'T work on 7201. I guess that goes for all the other languages as well. (Hurray for Norton Ghost, as Win7 could not even start in safe mode after)

well at least one bug fixed.
the bug where you go to recent items in start menu to open an image file.
than the windows photo viewer opens and it says "loading" for ever.

now its fixed.

7201-64bit works fine except microsoft's keyboard driver (win 7 beta) is not compatible with it. The keyboard driver works fine on 7100 and 7137.

I get the feeling that 7201 has a lot of changes or bugs from 7137. Some people are reporting driver problems and some software issues.

I went from 7077 32 bit to 7201 64 bit and am having NO issues. It found and installed drivers for everything on my system, runs very quick and hasn't crashed once. This is from a clean install which is something everyone should do (upgrading is not recommended).

I've noticed better memory usage in 7201 as i've normally got no memory left of my 768MB

This is not surprising. 7100 contained a lot of debugging code. If 720X really is an RTM candidate, all that should have been (or is in the process of being) stripped out and you should expect to see both better performance and lower overall resource usage.

I'm with you on this. My graphics driver was picked up through windows update in this build, while it was missed in 7100 and 7127

7201 x64 with german language pack works perfectly for me...even with an upgrade!

the nvidia driver from windows update back to old version for me.. there's no phsynx include, I got it on 7100 before

I've got 7201 installed, to be honest, no notable differences between this and 7127. In fact 7201 could easily be 7127 with the build strings altered. Everything seems the same considering it's almost 100 builds ahead. Nice though, stable so far considering all my apps are installed.

Well about every 5 seconds I have a lag spike, my pc runs incredibly slow, so slow I cant watch youtube clips.

I have an intel e8400, 4gb ram, ati 4850 vid card. Windows 7 for me is pretty much unusable.

This is with Internet Explorer, playing embedded flash? Is it like this if you download a video clip on your hard-drive and play it with Media Player? Only videos? Or doing anything, will copying a file slow down as well? Was it like this when you first installed Windows? Make sure you're using Windows 7 specific drivers, x86 or x64 depending on the version you use.
