What exactly is the problem with the playback?
What type of video files are they?
What type of players are your trying to use?

by looking at your (specs) i'd say no. (sorry)
but then again thats just me. wait till some more members post some more feedback and take it from there.
like i said before 1gb of memory is not much.

sorry i can't be more help but i don't want to tell you to go out and spend money you may not need to.
again give it a little time and some of the (pro's) may post back with better help..

hello again saadoo
i see no one else posts any help so i'd say get more memory .your system can use up to 4gb (2x2gb).
you can find some at newegg or compuse .
Supported RAM Speed 533 MHz,
400 MHz,
667 MHz if it was me i'd wait till you have some cash onhand and just buy a new system cause yours looks a bit old.you can pick up a nice starter system again at newegg or compusa for around $300.00 or a little more.scrooge

It is possible memory could be a culprit, or not enough processing power.

However, there are many other things that cause the issue as well.

For example, what type of files are these?
Did you encode them yourself?
Are you using any codec packs of any kind?
Have you tried defragmenting your HD?

720P is just the resolution. There are several other factors such as the container the Video and audio is is, as well as what codecs were used.

If you did not enode yourself, then the next question arises.
Did the one that encoded them have any clue what they were doing. The actual encoding settings may cause issues depending on what its being played back on.

At any count, upgrading to bit more RAm, at least 2GB, would not at all be a bad idea. Even if thats not causing your issue, its a worthwhile investment if running Windows 7.
