Actually, it is not fake. I looked it up in Technet Blogs. It was written by Alex Shapoval. He works for MS in Russia.

Now it could be a typo but it definitely is a real page from the Technet Blogs.

its false info or old info being re-reported. RTM is whats being pressed to dvd how could they be pressing 16385 and yet it will be 16386? makes no sense. that would mean people buying copys of win7 in a store is getting a different build then someone buying a new computer from a OEM.

I dont believe that it is fair to call it stupid, due to the fact that the information recieved was in fact from a source just like all the other links Ive seen, Technet..msdn...and his was from TechNet..stating 16386. That in itself makes the topic very valid, regardless of if it is wrong or right. We shall see tomorrow.

I'm sorry but I don't see how anyone can believe this. They would not announce/ship RTM to OEMs if they were still going to change things (even as simple as wallpapers and icons). C'mon people it's common sense :/ They ship to OEMs so that they can start building their custom images. How can they do this if they do not have the FINAL FINAL image?

The official iso's are going out as we speak from MS and no way in hell MS is going to change the build string between now and October 22.
