I am about to buy a new laptop to replace my desktop (I move about a lot)

Anyway I have found two great deals which I'm now torn between because of the price and whether the extra money spent on one of them will really be worth it

£810 Medion erazer 15,6 size

i7 3630qm
gtx 670mx 1.5gb
16 gb ram
full 1080p screen

OR

£1000 Medion erazer 17,3 size

i7 4700mq
gtx 770m 3gb
8gb ram
full 1080p screen

I'm not bothered about laptop physical size, 17 or 15 is fine, so ignoring that, my main question is, is it really worth the extra £190 for the 770m 3gb over the 670mx 1.5 and the 4th gen i7 over the 3rd gen? and if i did go the for more expensive one, would the drop in ram to 8gb even be noticeable?

I ask on here because my knowledge of gpu's and such are slightly clouded and I have heard that 3gb gpus can be a bit of a gimmick. Also, when I checked on gpu boss the i7 4700 seemed to be about the same performance as a 3630qm anyway

I want to future proof myself really.

I will use it for everything i mainly do in life: Gaming, making music, 3d modelling/rendering (but im not getting a quadro workstation..way too expensive)

Thanks!

For 190 more i would go with the bigger one. 770m is an updated version of the 670mx, and the i7 4700mq will offer same level of performance but with less power and less heat.

I agree with logicearth. You can't go wrong with more power imho, especially if you want to "future proof" yourself.
