Hello Folks,
Today I found 9 new important Win7 updates when I checked windows update in control panel (as well as approximately the same number for MS Office). I've attached a list. My broad-brush question is "are these OK to install?"
A more focused question though is this: are updates labelled "Security update for Windows 7xxxxxx" likely to be just what the title implies, a security update and no dangerous stuff (like installing Windows 10 or installing spyware)?
Then, is the Malicious Software removal tool in that same category - good additional security I don't need to worry about? But should go ahead and install?
If the answers to the above two questions are "yes, install this type", then I have only to concern myself with KB3107998. That title could surely encompass stuff I'd rather not have on my machine.
Thanks for your help in advance, Patrick
