Thanks for the input I'm also seeing the vendor has added ZOTAC GTX 950 2GB DDR5 AMP EDITION at the same price! Or should I stick with EVGA GTX 950 2GB DDR5 SC SUPERCLOCKED?

Okay, so EVGA has better support/hardware components?
According to my research Gtx 950 is a proper upgrade to r7 265 (my budget is 15000 INR max, at the maximum). What do you guys think? Comments welcome. I'll buy real soon.

EVGA seems to build high quality stuff. Based on the recommendations of other forum members that I trust, I would recommend the EVGA card.

The GTX 950 isn't really an upgrade to the R7 265. They are about on par with each other. The GTX excels in a couple of areas, and the R7 excels in a couple of areas. I don't think you will see a significant performance improvement over all with one or the other. If you've already got the R7, I think it would be a waste of money to swap it with a card that's pretty much the same feature and performance wise.

If you really want an upgrade, save your money and get a GTX 970 or an R9 380X (a little less money, but not quite the same in performance. Still a good card though)

A GTX 960 is only a marginal upgrade to the R7 265 based on what I can see from benchmarks on the internet. It wouldn't be worth it to buy the 960 just to swap it with your current Radeon card.

The RX 470, on the other hand, is significantly better than the R7 265 and would be a worthy upgrade. It even outperforms the GTX 970 in some aspects, as you can see in the benchmarks here:

The RX 470 looks to be a solid card based on those benchmarks, and it's cheaper than the GTX 970. The GTX 970 is a slightly better gaming card, but can cost an extra $50 to $150 depending on the model.

It's your money, but I wouldn't waste it on the GTX 960 for only a marginal upgrade in performance. If it were me, I would save my cash and buy the RX 470, or if I could afford it, the GTX 970.
