A complete 64 bit suite?

Avast is only an anti-virus, and only 32-bit.

Thus far I've been happy with ESET on Vista x64, but it's flaky on Windows 7.

Does anyone have any good suggestions for a complete firewall / antivirus solution that's 64 bit? Even separate products would do - I'm simply looking for those elusive 64 bit binaries.

What do you mean ? Do you have issus with Eset ?

I use Nod32 V4 x64 on Seven RC x64 and nothing is wrong

The first release of 4 had issues with 7. The new update from ESET works flawlessly.

It must be my version of ESET. I received a dialog that it has a problem with this version of Windows. I'll try an updated one. Thanks.

Make sure you install the right version. You have to click on a little link on the download page to take you to the 64-bit version.

This is not really a criteria.

The only way to know if a software is 64bit it's with taskmanager.
32bit process are show like this: process.exe*32, if there's no *32 then the process is 64bit.
x64 prog files is just a way to separate the two things, but you can easely bypass it ;).
For ex: Mediacoder com first as an 32bit exe, for 64bit you must make an update.
If you install by defaut mediacoder will be on the "32bit prog files", even after the update which make it 64bit.
So I do force the first install on the x64 prog files (even if it's a 32bit setup for 32bit exe). Then after update to make it 64bit all is in the good place :D

By the Way, an AV that is not x64 could simply not be installed on Vista/Seven 64bit. AV must be fully compliant with the Os because of patchguard technologie which is specific of 64bit edition.
And ESET is of course fully 64bit (installation possible, the process is 64bit, etc. )
