If you don't have Win7 or don't want to buy Win7 then what I would do is wipe the HD with Diskpart Clean Command and reinstall the licensed version of Vista, using its installer which you create following the steps given here: Vista ISO download

After compiling the Vista ISO burn to DVD using ImgBurn at 4x speed, boot and follow these same basic steps to Clean Install Windows 7.

If it fails post back exactly at which step and the verbatim error message.

lastly i got the upgrade thinking i could install it again so i was going to ask my bro for his os but he some how lost it. if he hadnt have lossed i would have installed it again and did the upgrade

Did you buy a Win7 upgrade version to use on this computer? If so boot it to Clean Install Windows 7.

If it fails, reboot into the DVD, press Shift + F10 at the first screen to open a Command Line, run Diskpart Clean Command then try the install again.

If that fails post back the exact step where it fails in Clean Install Windows 7 and the verbatim error message.

If you don't have a legit Win7 Upgrade DVD with Product key then reinstall Vista as I suggested in my last post. If you have the Product Key but no DVD we can provide it for you.

i went and tryed clean all and it says "diskpart has encountered an error: the semaphore timeout period has expired. se the system event log for more information."
