i read about this some time ago, and im still impressed now! but why on earth did he paint it black!? should be yellow! or red to match the gumball rally one.

I think black is just fine...yellow is too garish, and red just attracts the police.

I don't think that I would question any man about his choice of colors, after he has built something such as this.

True, I remember once many years ago, my brother had a custom MG which was painted red. Of course it wasn't just the color that caught the policeman's eye. Fortunately, my brother got off with a warning, because the cop was a sports car nut.

also i know that in US alot of people making replica's of Ferrari, Lambo etc. but this one is HOT!

The guy did a great job. There's some fantastic craftsmanship shown in the pictures. My plan is to build a replica of the 1951 Chrysler K-310. I already have a 1951 Chrysler Imperial to use as a donor for the chassis and drive train. The 51 Imperial had Chrysler's first V8 Hemi engine. The same engine used in the 51 K-310. Details of the original K-310 are skimpy at best since it wasn't a production car so dimensions will come from scaling pictures and best guesses. The task will start the same as the "Lambo" with a skeleton frame work.

You definitely have to keep me posted on that. I come from a Chrysler family and am a Mopar fan because my dad worked for Dodge Truck.

That is a beautiful car. Always did love the Countach. He must not have had a garage/workshop to build it in. At least he now has a walkout basement.

My grandfather was a designer at Chrysler and always dreamed of building his own. He drew plans and made clay models for years of what he planned on building. Many thought he'd never build it, but build it he did. It took 5 years of his retirement. Picture of picture so excuse if they don't look the best.
