TonePort UX2 (3.4.3.1 drivers)
PodFarm (1.0.2)
The Monkey (1.26)

All "seem" to work fine on Beta1 build 7000 64 bit but I haven't had a chance to really work them out yet.

Stiil need to install Acid Music 6, RiffWorks 2, and Guitar Tracks Pro 3 to try recording and, since it doesnt work on Vista 64, I'm sure my Variax interface is dead in the water (so Variax Workbench is done and toast).

I've got the GuitarPort, and used it under Windows 7 Build 7000 just fine. Build 7048, is a different matter. For whatever reason, Monkey version 1.27 doesn't recognize any hardware, and is always trying to detect a Pod XT, which I don't have (nor ever had). Monkey 1.26 works fine; I just have to put up with the update messages whenever using it. Gearbox and Riffworks work just fine.

I'll test recording with POD X3 Live within the next few days with the RC 64bit version. I'll tell you then if it works fine.

Oh sh*t. Everything went well until I started to record with my X3 Live. I got the USB drop out problem with my new computer.

The problem is that all audio that comes from the computer to the POD X3 stops after a minute or so and that makes my recording and mixing well..impossible.

Well I try to solve this one somehow..

Hello,
I'm running the line 6 toneport ux2 as my sound card to record... on an HP pavillion with an AMD Turion X2 Dual-Core Mobile RM-72 2.10 GHz, 4G ram, 64-bit. I'm getting a weird static-clicky sound. I've seen similar situations on line 6 forum posts all pointing to a chipset compatibility issue. hopefully a fix around the corner...

Try to use a longer latency, if you don't really need a short latency. It helped me with my UX2 in XP though.

I agree with Alphie on adjusting the latency down a bit.

I would try to turn it down all the way and if that fixes it crank it up a bit at a time to find the max setting for your system.

I've tried that...still no good. Virtual XP does not see my hardware for some reason...still use older line 6 monkey, as I read in line 6 forums, also read it was some kind of conflict with the chipset not recognizing the OS...fingers still crossed...

Do the older drivers work better? Also are you using Gearbox or PodFarm?

To be honest I would'nt wait on Line6 to come up with any answers anytime soon. It took them forever and a day to come out with 64bit drivers. Workbench for the Variax (and the USB Variax interface) is still 32bit only and will not work under Vista/Win7 64 (if the drivers were updated the app would probably work OK).

I just built an i7 rig and the old E6600 will go to music only with 32bit XP and 64bit Win7 in dual boot (XP is JUST for Variax Workbench). Line6 seems to be moving only ahead and not supporting older gear very well :(

Not really sure yet...I read on line 6 forum of similar problems and it was mentioned that the older driver works and the newer one doesn't....I'm using gearbox. Yea I'm hoping Microsoft will come up with something...really liking Win 7 so far!

My line 6 Toneport Ux1 was causing blue screens left right and centre with the old driver and the new windows 7 beta driver did nothing to fix this. I am now looking to sell it and buy a behringer mixer and a roland usb interface. Thanks for nothing Line 6 :(
