Hi all,

I'm learning programming and for some questions I want to use the forums of a website named www.cplusplus.com
The problem is that when I register there, after a day or a few entrance to it, I can't use my account at the top saying, for example, "logged in".
And when I go into a thread to participate, it says that I should register, and I click to enter my username and pass, but before that, it shows the details of my account meaning I'm logged in.
The website says that uses cookies. But I don't think it's s problem.

What is the reason of this problem and how to solve it please?

Hi,

Yes, I have sent them messages but no reply. When writing a message we should enter our e-mail too, so they can reply to my email even if my account doesn't work. but apparently the website with its status and problems is left out!

I thought it is a problem with my IP, because many websites have banned Iranian IP-s from visiting their websites, so I used a proxy to solve the issue. But no result! :(

The more strange issue is that I was using that website about a year ago without any problem, but now can't. !!

It is their contact page: Contact

Franky, are you using any sort of 3rd party utility that monitors cookies, certain cache files, etc.? If so, try to whitelist that web site. Also, there might a server cache hiccup [it's a long geeky story] -- you might have to hunt down a utility that will make the browser get a fresh copy of that web site and bypass any server cache [another geeky long story]. I mention the phrase "geeky long story" because I do not know how to explain what was told to me years ago concerning "server cache".

Hi Roland,
I'm not sure what those "3rd party utility that monitors cookies, certain cache files, etc." are exactly! But I've installed a program that may be what you mean, the CCleaner.
When I use it, it cleans my PC pretty well and the trouble is that I have to re-enter all of my usernames and passwords for all websites I'm a member there. :(

How to whitelist a specific website using it? I think it works for all website totally.

If that program is what that can help me, OK, I will clean my browsers hoping that helps.
Thank you for your answer.

For a test, do not use ccleaner for a few days, do your normal browsing, let the browsers collect their cache files; tell us what happens during that testing. While I can't be sure, I'm wondering if ccleaner is possibly "cleaning too much".
