a question that have been a bit bothering me

First i give my system specs
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2Ghz E2200
3GB RAM
512mb nvidea 9400GT graphics card
160GB HDD
Windows 7 Ultimate

Im just wondering if what should i get or reformat into for a good performance and what are the advantages and disadvantages of the two Windows 7 32bit and windows 7 64bit

i like gaming and converting videos making videos/editing videos

i herd that many apps/softwares are incompatible with 64bit systems
i only play 4 games online
band master
wonderland online
norn saber online
idate online

and some extra games

next can i run apps that are not compatible with 64 bit ? i mean run 32 bit apps

Why not set up a new partition and install the 64bit for testing your games? I cannot speak for gaming, but I have had insignificant problems with compatibility using standard 32Bit software in the 64bit OS.

You will not see too many adantages using 32Bit with a 64bit OS, but it is a move forward for the time when more software authors begin writing serious 64bit stuff.

how do i do that ? and it means it will dual boot right? ( im not tech expert so i dont know how i do dual boot once 2 OS are installed)

It should be on the DVD lable (64 or 32) The same key can be used for either. But there is no need to be in a great hurry to activate. You do have 30 days to test out if you prefer 64Bit.

Hi,

Firstly, you may want read This to compare 32 & 64Bit architecture.

Secondly, most 32Bit application will work on 64Bit with no issues. You may however get Driver Signature issues which can be resolved by using the Advanced Boot Options and selecting Disable Driver Signature Enforcement from the list.

You strictly need 2 licenses to run both as dual boot. If you attempt to run both beyond the 30-day grace period, you may find activation problems with one or both installations.

With 3 GB ram, there will be no great advantage running the 64-bit Windows 7 - but if your motherboard can support it, any additional memory upgrade will only benefit 64-bit Windows, and not 32-bit.

Video applications will do best with more memory, so 64-bit should be the way to go if there are no insurmountable driver or software issues.

well i only have one license though tried installing 64 bit in a partition out of my 160gb hdd my programs run fast (video editor photo editor) but my games specially the game i play always never runs and also my printer have no driver so i will stick to 32 bit for now
