"A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing" during install
I am using Windows XP SP 2 in a desktop PC. But I wanted to install Windows 7 to my computer. So I got a dvd and during installing it from boot from dvd mode, first I get the "select language and time" dialog box, I click next and then this message appears -
"A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD or USB flash drive, please insert it now."
I read many threads on the internet regarding this problem, but I didn't try any of those in fear that I might misunderstand something and worsen the condition.
Can anyone give me a step by step info on what to do?
If you need any extra information please ask.
