Instead of a new thread I thought I would ask here as I get the same issue saying no CD/DVD drive. Doing diskpart/list disk shows that there are no disks available, even though I have 2 drives installed( 1 ssd/1 hdd). One currently has windows installed, and one is blank. I am basically trying to flash an existing image from an identical workstation over. It wont let me use the image, install win7 from usb, install win7 from disc(using 2 different isos). I created the usb stick with a real iso through Windows 7 usub dvd download tool. I also inserted the oem driver disc, and it will not find that.

Any other ideas to try?

Thanks!

I buy a lot of workstations for work. So, we deploy these in various hospitals, and each hospital has certain programs/settings they need. So I have various images of those builds. When I get a new workstation in I have been re-imaging them to hospital Y or hospital X etc. This saves me a ton of time over installing updates and programs individually per machine. We have all the proper keys though! We have a custom HP z440 or z640 build that we just order so they are identical in hardware. Lately it seems like I keep getting this error on some of them since we add ssd inside.

It seems like if I reformat with the OEM HP cd, then go back in and reformat off of a image then it works ok. Just have to do the same process twice, which is annoying and time consuming.

Hope that makes sense.
