a series of BSOD error messages

Hi ,

i try to keep it short... My machine Asus N73SV 12 gb Ram 2 HD win7 64 ultim. I bought the win8 upgrade 15$ version... Installed 100% ...reboot..and now the trouble starts.. a series of error messages..see photos... after hours of talking with MS tech support.. I gave up.... I tested the memory with memtest 7 times..clean. I tried the install with keeping settings and files as well..keeping nothing... I formatet the HD installed win 7 and than win 8 same problem
here my questions A) can you look at the error pictures and cbs log file (sfc /scannow was not able to repair) and tell me what files are corrupt and how i can solve the problem. Is it possible to expand like the ntoskrnl.exe from the win7 dvd. I have upgraded my older asus M70vm from win7 ulti to win8 pro... no problems at all

Hi Arc, the problem is windows 7 related, because win 8 cannot be installed. the sfc / scannow cbs log file is pure windows7 problem also the BSDO what i get are Win7.

Apparently the issue is network related, somehow your wifi adapter driver is blocked.

Try to update it .... ATHEROS drivers for Microsoft Windows (Atheros?????)

And, as a try, uninstall Avira. The network blockage may be caused by it, too. After upgrading to 8, use any other antivirus. In windows 7, use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.

Download and install those, and then run full system scans with both of them, one by one.

Let us know the results.

thanks for yor reply, but I trued also a clean install, with an basic win7 home premium with all basic windows drivers and no avira... same problem and exact same error messages..... this is my problem
what is the problem with the ntoskrnl.exe.... can i replace this file by using expand?

ntoskrnl.exe is not a problem, it cannot be. It is actually the kernel on which the crash took place, and the memory record failed to detect what is the exactly cause of the crash, so blamed the kernel itself.

In such a situation, it is better to enable Driver Verifier to monitor the drivers.
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.

Let us know the results, with the subsequent crash dumps, if any.

to bad it did not worked... after i have set up the verifyer... ask for a restart.... than blue screen during the restart... a start up repair was not possible (see 2 attached photos)... the only way system restore... now i am back

Free up the startup.

1. Click on the Start button
2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
3. Select the “Startup” tab.
4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
5. Apply > OK
6. Accept the restart.

Download and install CCleaner. Then run it.
Go to "Tools" .... by default it will open the "uninstall" tab.
Click on save as text file. Save it on your desktop.
Upload the text file for us.

Scan the system for possible virus infection.

• Anti-rootkit utility TDSSKiller
• Windows Defender Offline

Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight, per RAM module per slot.

From the cbs log, what I have noticed that you have taken ownership of the entire windows folder.

i took the ownership, so you can open the cbs file... i tried to run this verifier again.. same problem... the only difference...no blue screen... only reboot and ask.. startup repair or start normally.... startup repair did not work as i mentioned before.. only system restore ...or start last known best configuration. now the owner ship is back to normal... a clean install did not solve the problem.... i had no error after install win 7 home premium, after upgrade via windows anytime upgrade... the errors started... so it looks like a driver issue... but what driver. before i had a couple bsod's with nvidia, ntoskrnl.exe (this are the most) my nvidia is uptodate also the atheros are the latesd one.

It is not the question of genuine only .... as it is an upgrade, it might be a root of the issue in the validation procedure.

As you think it is strictly a driver related issue, you may enable Driver Verifier to identify the problem driver/drivers.

arc, yes i i mentioned yesterday. I installed windows 7 home and upgraded than to win 8. after the first reboot the same problems . this is why i am confiused

i tested the memory with memtest (7 times) and with euro pc. 6.05
also vido test and stress test... but i will try tonight your tool

id did this furmark test...nice graphis... it was running for 45 min... than i esc ..tem..and disply look fine no artefacts
