A unique Fallout 3 problem

So try this:

delete these 2 files

Fallout.ini

FalloutPrefs.ini

Then in the launcher:

Use low detail

Set screen effects to none

This didn't work. Same problem. I have more than adequate hardware besides. Anything the game needs the computer to do, it can - it's just not working haha.

Hi I've been having a similar problem. my whole machine doesn't freeze but i do need to end the process to get control back. my problems started when i installed the 1.7 patch, the original install from the DVD works fine. i could reinstall but i hate to be beaten by a PC

EDIT: Just been reading the oblivoion thread as i was having problems running that too. Turns out that both Oblivion and F3 get confused with two displays. Just set W7 to run only on my primary monitor and F3 fired up straight away. looked good too :) guess despite nVidia providing SLI on dual monitors some games don't like it.

Heres the link http://www.sevenforums.com/gaming/5700-oblivion-crash-startup.html thanks to all on that thread
