HI Noel,
I promised to get back to you once the pc was back and running again. It was a hard drive that failed. The pc was running 3 with RAID. We decided, remove RAID keep 2 HD's and just do a clean install of windows to correct all the other errors I still had.
I do want to thank you again for the wonderful help about the Windows Update Error issue.
To others out there... This site rocks
Thanks for the feedback, Debbie - I assume you were running RAID1? - that should have thrown all sorts of obvious errors if one of the drives was failing, I thought?
Have fun with your fully-functional system

Yea RAID 1 and guess that bad HD was giving sighs with all the errors we saw. But the issue you helped with was a problem not related. Wasn't first time I had that very same error. I just hated to send my pc to the shop for it so tried here for the help Just the HD decided at the same time to make its dive. Anyway, all seems good and working now. Take care
