A wider post area

I was just thinking - it would be nice if the post / reply box was a tad larger like the actual thread screen window.

Is this possible and what does anyone else think of that because personally I have problems with the small window in hat I find scrolling up and down in a long post or reply a bit tedious when the whole screen moves with the scroll if you wander just slightly off course.

Plus it would be nice to see more of the message than is currently available because there is a ton of room either side of the post "strip"

Are you clicking on Go Advanced or using the Post Reply button? Both give you a larger work area.

There are two lines in the bottom right of the message box. Click and drag to the desired size and enjoy!

I know about the advanced option only in editing and I am unsure of the option you are referring to Z

Now the other I cannot see how to drag the screen out as there is no "lock on" when I scroll the cursor over it - any chance of a pic that might help?

Does this help? I don't see the lines I described in your screen shot either. Look in the bottom right of the reply box in my screen shot. It's small and hard to see, but as you can see in my tabs, I'm new to Windows screen shots haha.

Try holding your mouse curser over the blue margin, Hold down the ctrl key & roll the scroll on the mouse to see if it increases or decreases the margin borders.

You could just use one of the wide skins for this site, and/or just make the quick reply box vertically bigger.

You can make it vertically bigger by the arrows at the right top of the reply box.

Hello Shawn look if this is going to cause problems I'll just use the zoom feature and it probably wouldn't be so awkward if the reply window stayed still still as you scrolled down but one reaches the bottom edge the whole post reply moves up.
Having said that a larger window would be nice.

As mentioned, that is a feature in Chrome. If you do not like Chrome you could try Maxthon browser, the only one I have used since I first tested it. Each Maxthon tab can individually be set to use either Trident (IE) or WebKit (Chrome) rendering engines.

Its weird because if I switch from WYSIWYG editor using Firefox, to the standard editor in (Edit Options in Control Panel) I get that expansion arrow in the bottom right corner of the reply box too. Not in IE though.

It's a pretty good browser.

(I tend to use it on portable devices more myself though)
