Hello all you wonderful people staring into computer screens making the world a more beautiful place to live.

I keep looking for help and I keep finding that all my querys direct me to these forums.

What I need to do is simple.

Optimize my laptop for Ableton live. I have an APC40 (AKAI) and the latency is a big issue, It's almost impossible for me to perform on it (Due to lag & crashes) I will be happy to fetch any info on my pc or registry, and hopefully one of you wonderful programmers can take a look at my setup and offer some advice. Like Some pages on YouTube suggest disabling "superfetch" also what is the Microsoft framework. Mainly I need sombody to tell me what msconfig stuff to change and I will most grateful. It should be easy. All I use is After effects, Ableton Live8, Sony Vegas 12, Adobe Photoshop cs6, & Wirecast & thats it. I installed MSE & I use Chrome.

My Laptop is:

Acer Aspire 5552

AMD Phenom(tm) II N830

Triple-Core Processor 2.10 Ghz

4.00 GB Ram (3.74 Usable)

Please let me know how to copy and paste any applicable info pertaining to this:

Thank you in advance

The gearslutz forum would be a good place to start. It is dedicated to recording.
