Welcome aboard, abdengi :)

Can you post a screenshot of your full screen disk management window for us, so that we can see the situation ?

Right click on your computer icon, chose "manage", it will open the "computer management " window . Make the window full screen and click on the "disk management " link on the left hand pane, so it will show the listing of your disks. Take a snip of the window using snipping tool, and post.

It's nice that you dont have 4 partitions already.

Download Partition Wizard Free Bootable CD

and using it, Shrink the C drive from the right side, as much as you want . (OPTION 3 of the tutorial http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/93322-partition-wizard-use-bootable-cd.html will give you the idea how to do it, but do the shrink from the right side.

Now, after the shrinking, you will get a free unallocated space. Create a new partition there (Create Partition help of partition software - Partition Wizard.), and format is as Logical .

Let us know if you have any further query.
