Abysmal MSDN download speeds.

Since I'm miserable anyway, I decided to try to download Windows 8.1 with Update which I'm told is an improvement on the last 8.1.

I'm getting 50-100 kbps avg down speed from MSDN. Anyone else experience this from MS server downloads?

My DSL is still providing the usual 3.0 mbps speed tested just now. The provider isn't throttling it, thinks its gotta be on the server side.

Anyone else experience this kind of speed on MSDN?

Have you tried to change the country?

I have often had so slow downloads from Microsoft Germany, I have switched to UK and even to USA to get faster downloads. You know of course that your subscription allows you to download from any server so there should be no issues. When downloading a few gigs even a small improvement in speed can make a big difference.

As this has so often worked for me here, I see no reason why it should not work for you there .

Network traffic (www) has been unusually heavy the last few days. I don't know if it's MS updates and reruns or there's something else going on. Sure has been a lot of update errors posted too. Just wait until everybody is on the "cloud".
