Hey guys.

I love going back here to the forums once in a while. See old friends, post a couple of questions 'cause I know that you're far more experienced than me :D. Obviously I'm a huge AC fan, but since the PC requirements last month on Unity, I got a little scared. I never thought that my rig would have any hickups. I heard a lot of guys on other forums with lower specs than the actual min. requirements, so essentially I wanted a second opinion: Will I be able to run AC Unity? Ultra or lowest settings -- doesn't matter, really.

Apparently this is not a game where you should expect 60 fps. A lot of gamers are complaining recarding this matter. I'd be happy if I could get a 20-30 fps.

Here my rig:

ASUS P8Z68-V PRO
ASUS GeForce GTX 560 Ti
i5 2500K @ 3.30GHz
Kingston 8GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 668MhZ (9-9-9-24)
Samsung 840 Pro Series MZ-7PD128 128 GB
Corsair 750W

Thank you guys!

Welcome back FredeGail,

I've not played it personally, but everything you have seems to be OK to play on medium settings at 30-40fps, even if it doesn't you could drop it down to low until ubisoft release an optimisation patch anyway, but ubisoft have said that as a temporary workaround to disconnect your internet if playing singleplayer mode to improve performance.

It is said that UBI really did a number porting this game to PC so beware of that as well and don't blame your rig if you can't play it ;)

I can't believe how badly Ubi botched this game. Seeing as how Mantle is open to everyone, I wish they'd go with that over Nvidia's Gameworks, which only optimizes for Nvidia GPUs.

This is the game I was most looking forward to this year. Good thing that Far Cry 4 has caught my attention...hopefully it will tide me over until Ubi actually pushes out a patch that makes ACU decently playable.

On my hardware (see specs) I barely get to 60fps, usually around 30fps with everything maxed out, except AA. But within large population of NPCs it will drop to 20fps. It might run better if I was playing at 1920x1080 tho instead of 2560x1600.

But anyways maybe my experience will help shed light on how it will play on your system.

OP, if your 560Ti is a 1Gb model, then disabling post processing FX, AA and VRAM hungry features like shadows etc may net you a few more frames. Otherwise, hold tight for a patch. Unfortunately the 560TI is not a powerful card and this game does have steep requirements.

GTX 690? Have you updated to the latest driver? It's supposed to add a SLI profile.

Oh I am running full SLI with AC:U that is no problem, both GPUs are running at their max boost clocks, 1100MHz give or take. That is without any overclocking mine you, other then increasing the max power threshold.
