Access Denied

I've got a Windows 7 computer that's denying me access on log-in. Whenever I type in my password the following message comes up:

"The user profile service failed the log-in. User profile cannot be loaded."

It's just gone like it. One day it was okay, next day this! Any idea what's gone wrong here and how to fix it? Be a great help if someone can help. Thanks.

I suggest a system restore to get to a point before the troubles.

I think that Jon' astute advice will solve your problem, but in the event that it does not. Try this

The User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded. - Vista Forums
Good for vista and 7.

If the above does not work, try a repair install.
