I didn't know whether to post this under general or Security, I guess it is more of a security Issue.

Ok, So over a week of using windows 7 i have noticed alot of programs etc ask for access right etc in order to carry out commands, I know of a solution to each program just by right clicking and opening it as an administrator, but, I am the only user set up and i should already be an admin i would of thought, How can i go about this to making everything i run, run with admin rights or full access rights.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks alot for that!, Is good, but may i ask, How do i transfer my profile over to the admin user? and will it be called administrator? I was hoping to just be able to change the account i have if that was possible, not add another user... Heh

If anyone could advise me on this it would be cool!

(edit - Just to reassure, i have checked my own user account and it is set up as an admin account, so i dunno if there is any difference to the admin account and mine....)

Thanks

Sorry, I do not understand.
What i did was right click my M drive, select properties and click the securities tab, from there i clicked "edit" for where the edit permissions are and selected full control as allow.

Is that what you were meaning?
