Accessing Outlook in windows 7

Previously I was running Outlook 2002 XP Office on XP and purchased new computer with Win 7. The license for MS Office that I purchased does not have Outlook. Is there a way to acces the pst Outlook archives that I created through Windows Live Mail or any other e-mail package?

Have a large number of previous Outlook e-mails that have critical information and need to view.

Open Windows Live Mail->File->Import->Messages->Microsoft Outlook->Choose the PST

Backup the PST first just in case something goes wrong

Thnaks for the help. I do not have a file icon on this copy of windows Live Mail, any thoughts?

Hit the alt key...it should show a menu

Ran into a snag the Import Message option does not include Outlook just, Express, Mail, and live mail.

I did some additional reading and apparently you can really only accomplish this task this way

Export the backup PST file (like you did)
Open up Outlook Express (In WINDOWS XP!!!!) and import it there...
Copy the emails over to WLM

If you haven't gathered...this will need Virtual XP Mode (if you only have Win7 installed). Apparently the Office department hasn't posted any way but this to accomplish the task. It is sad really...
