The PC was working fine (and has for a long time) when I accidentally hit the Sleep button the keyboard whilst playing Just Cause 2, which put the PC to sleep.

I then re-pressed the button but the PC didn't wake.

So I pushed the tower's power button to turn it back on and the PC made all the right sounds internally but nothing is displayed on the screen, not even the BIOS.

The monitor is showing "Analog/Digital" like it would if the PC was off.

I have tried to turn the system off at the wall also, still have the same issue.

Did something break when the PC went to sleep? :|

PSU is an Antec EarthWatts 500W, if that matters.

First thing I would try is clearing the CMOS.

1. Please clear CMOS and test again ( refer to motherboard manual for details .)

  • Use CMOS Jumper :
a.) Turn OFF the computer and unplug the power cord
b.) Move the jumper cap from pins 1-2 ( default .) to pins 2-3. Keep the cap on pins 2-3 for about 5-10 seconds, then move the cap back to pins 1-2.

c.) Plug in the power cord and turn ON the computer.
d.) Hold down the "Del" key during the boot process and enter BIOS setup to re-enter data.

Either that, or drawing the power out by leaving the PC off (and unplugged) for 5 minutes, worked a treat.

Thank you!
