Acer 5534 wireless conection netgear

I just bought an Acer 5534 (with win 7 ) that connects ok using the ethernet cable. However when I try the wireless it sees the network but it can connect to it. All other computers at home connect ok. The router is a netgear wgr614v7. Any suggestions?

remove the ethernet cable - reboot and wait for the OS to sort things out

Thanks, did the reboot again today and still no luck. I have changed the drivers twice already.

MAC address access was on in the router. Now it works!!!
