Acer 8930G Touchpad Problem

Hi

Just installed windows 7 64bit and reinstalled all the original drivers (Some of which needed updating online due to the switch to 64bit) and everything seems to working perfectly, except the Touchpad. At the moment I'm using a normal mouse but I take the laptop out alot so the touch pad's funtionality is pretty important.

Hope someone out there can help me

I went to the Acer website and downloaded the reccomended driver but when i tried intslling it, it said it could not find the OS Specific startup program...

Use the Synaptics drivers

I had the same problem on an Acer 8930G after installing W7 32bit. The Acer drivers didn't solve the problem. The manufacturer of the touchpad is Synaptics. I downloaded the driver from their site Drivers | Synaptics. That solved the problem.
