Hi Welcome to Seven Forums ... What is the exact Model Number of your Laptop ? ...

What size of Hard Drive did you get as a replacement ? ...

Are you sure your Original Hard Drive was not just partitioned ? ...

What was the size of your Second Hard Drive ? ...

Was it an SSD ? ...

After doing some Searching for your System Specs ..

Can not find any mention of a second Hard Drive ...

Just one Drive which is 320 GB ...

So your Hard Drive was not replaced ... If that is the case its size should be around about 140 GB ?

Or is it 320 GB ?

There are many things which are not clear from your statements.

To put things on the right track:

1. What was the OS that came installed with on your Acer Aspire 4736Z?

2. Did you or anyone else at anytime install any OS subsequently? ( I don't think Acer would have created another partition on that drive.)

3. When the bootloop problem occurred what was the OS in that system?

4. When it came back to you after ACER rectified the problem, what was the OS? Did they restore it to the factory condition? ( Most likely and in that case you would have lost any partition you or someone else deliberately created afterwards)

5. Why did you "try" to install Windows 7 again if your bootloop problem was resolved?

6. Did you actually install or stopped installation after seeing that you were only presented with just one volume of the whole capacity of your drive? ( Just curious what is that Windows 7 media you have?)

Whatever, you seem to have lost that other partition, when ACER repaired it for you. That would happen if ACER had restored your laptop to the factory condition.

What all you say appears to be junk.:D

If it came with Windows 7 Starter how did it become Windows 7 Ultimate? Magic?????? :)

And when you gave it to ACER why would they upgrade it to Windows 8?

Whatever, as I said earlier, you have lost that partition. It no longer exists.
