Acer Aspire M1100 network not recognizing after updates

I am working on an Acer Aspire M1100. i installed Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit and everything worked great. After i updated the network adapter recoginzes that theres a cable plugged in but says unrecogized network no internet access. i tried instaling windows 7 home premium 64bit sp1 and there was no access from the beginning. i reinstalled home premium and it works again so im guessing something in the updates break it. Acers website only has vista and xp drivers. any ideas?
