acer bsod

i have got blue screens since i bought this acer laptop, it was about 5 months ago, and every day blue screens. if i leave my laptop turned off for a longer time, i got blue screen. please try to help, thanks

For some reason, your upload did not give us all of the files we usually get in the jcgriff stuff...

But what I can see:

1. Please complete windows update. Lots of errors there.

Please go to your Maintenance Center and check the Windows Update status. Make sure you are up to date, do them one by one manually if needed.

2. Norton stuff seems to also cause problems in some of the many dumps.
Please de-install (as a test for stability only)

Then reboot.
Sometimes these uninstallers do not remove all they should out of Registry:
Run CCleaner, both regular and registry.

Next install your preferred AV immediately. Try avast! for free. when you are sure we've found the issue, you can re-install Norton.

i formatted drive c and reinstalled windows, updated, not installed norton, and again ive got blue screen...View attachment 170300

Couple of problems here now:

1. Windows Update did not finish. It failed multiple times.

2. There is no dump though you had a BSOD?

To ensure minidumps are enabled:

Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
Under the Write Debugging Information header
Select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
OK your way out.
Reboot if changes have been made.

3. Let's check memory with a check that does not use W7 stuff:
Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program.

Boot from the CD, and leave it running for at least 5 or 6 passes.

Just remember, any time Memtest reports errors, it can be either bad RAM or a bad motherboard slot.

Test the sticks individually, and if you find a good one, test it in all slots.

How do you mean "restart"? It is a separate cd that your system is booted on, start the test and wait a night. It takes a long time 5-6 hours... and you cannot do anything else with your system. Your system does not even boot in W7 with this test.

No... but it proves a point. Memtest86 runs by itself on Hardware and Bios. No Windows7 involved. The fact that it stops means there is a fault in your motherboard hardware, Ram stick or maybe BIOS. Does not have to be fully messed up, could be settings...
But, to be honest, most often it is a bad ram stick or mobo slot.

Have you tried single ram stick in each slot and test?
Does it just reboot without any error message?

tested each ram stick in every slot, but just for one time, both ram sticks passed, no errors. left my laptop for a night just with one ramstick, turned on in the morning, no blue screen for now. i will see what will be in the evening, when i come back from work

So 2 sticks = problem while each individual is OK??

Strange. If this was a recent Desktop build, I'd say the RAM voltage might have to be upped a bit... but I wouldn't expect that of a standard Acer LT? Or did you add to, or change, the configuration yourself after buying?

i didnt do anything after buying it. when i bought it, i had to install windows, you know, turn on computer and windows setup starts, no cd required, nothing. and then first time i got blue screen, didnt finished windows instalation, had to try install windows second time, and then succeded, but from then i had got that blue screen problem on startup

I know this now sounds easy... But use your warranty. That what it is for. You got a faulty machine and should have gone back on day one... Don't know what you warranty terms are but with you story and dump dates you could prabably still claim warranty now?

you cant just go to the shop and say this laptop got problems, you have to call first, then you will be given some advices to repair computer by yourself. if that wont solve problem, they will take laptop for repair.. its so stupid here in england. in lithuania was different, im originaly from there, you go to the shop, you leave it, they fix it

Mmmm... Why not go there and show them the 'proof' in this thread? You have tested and proven there is a problem + have the dumps to prove it.
