Acer d150 & w7 ??

Hi can i install W7 ultimate x32 bit in a acer aspire one netbook (D150) ??
i have an external cd/dvd drive

Right i tried with the ext cd drive but no luck also it stated the my cpu does not support 64 bit
i m now downloading w7 home premium 32 bit on a flash drive .lets see what happens

Acer only have x32 drivers for the ACER Aspire AOD150.

When I click on Netbook then click Aspire then under Products scroll down to AOD150 I show it has drivers for Windows 7 32-bit , Windows 7 64-bit , and Windows XP .

My mistake . I saw that it has Windows 7 64-bit but didnt see that it didn't have drivers . But then again not one netbook could run 64 -bit that I know of .

My Acer Aspire One AO722 runs 64-bit Win 7 so now you know of at least one!

Hi sorry but i forgot to mention that i want to install w7 on my old acer netbook that's running xp home is this possible ??

You should be able to install 32-bit Win 7 on that netbook.

How do you plan to activate Win7 Ultimate on your XP netbook? :sarc:

The same steps I gave you the steps above will assure a perfect install so look them over and ask back any questions.

After booting the installer delete all partitions during Step 7 of Clean Install Windows 7

Most of the Atoms after the n450 are 64-bit capable. Their controllers can use only 2 gig of RAM so it's really useful only if you wish to install a x64 linux distro.
