One has nothing to do with the other. I would think that just about any motherboard you could buy would be ACPI. The SLIC table would only be there if it was a name brand PC or Laptop sold with a Preinstalled OS. The SLIC table is basically a vendor ID that is tied to the install media for OEM-SLP Activation.
