Hi,

First off all, the first error I had was about ntoskrnl.exe, I replaced it then I get a new one: hal.dll, I replaced it too, then I get the acpi.sys error with the path (C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\acpi.sys.

When I replaced this one, I get finally this error and I'm stuck:

170746

What I did so far:

  • Chkdsk /R /F
  • Rebuild BCD (All kind, bootsect /nt60 ..., bootrec /fixboot & fixmbr, I also writed all the boot with bcdedit)
  • Replace files like (ntoskrnl.exe, hal.dll, acpi.sys, msisadrv.sys, pci.sys, volmgr.sys, volsnap.sys and disk.sys)
  • Antivírus check, malwarebytes and spyboot check.
  • SFC /scannow with and without OFFDIR.
I think I did some more things that I can't remember now.

One week is passed and I spent about 20h trying to resolve this issue.

Any sugestion? Thank you

Thank you axe0, My disk is not a Seagate, If I try to run SeaTools for Windows on my other Windows partition, it doesn't detect any disk. If I run SeaTools for DOS it will work?

The test gives: 100% passed.

Other then a re-installation I cannot think of another possible solution.

What does sfc say when you run it?

Please try sfc, reboot, sfc.

SFC need to say "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violation" so no corruption is there.

I did that. It gives me now that message. When I try to boot in my win7 I get the same error.

Try following
Boot into Windows 7 DVD System Recovery Options or Windows 7 System Repair Disk to Mark Win7 or it's 100mb System Reserved Partition (preferred if you have it) Active.

Then run Startup Repair - Run up to 3 Separate Times until Windows 7 starts and it's boot partition holds the System Active flags.

If this fails when System Reserved partition is marked Active, move the Active flag to Win7 partition itself and then try the 3 repairs again.

Be aware that sometimes GRUB can corrupt Windows 7 beyond repair when on the same HD. If problems persist I would delete it completely and then for any future Linux Dual Boots use separate HD's booted only via BIOS, or Dual Boot - Windows 7 and Linux - Windows 7 Forums.

If all else fails it may be necessary to wipe the boot sector of interfering code using Diskpart Clean Command before Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 which steps are same for retail.

The problem is solved.

I get another windows 7 installation media and I replace again the ACPI.sys, after that I replaced more 7 or 8 files *.sys. After all replaces the windows rebooted correctly.

Thank you for your help.
