It's quite simple really.

Downloading something you are meant to pay for is theft, no matter how many ways it can be rationalized to the contrary.


Do individuals have to like it? No.

Is the proposed method of enforcement fair? No.

Does the proposed punishment fit the crime? Far from it.

Is getting vexed in a forum thread that has zero impact on the outcome pointless? Yes.
