Activating Problem

Hey guys,
So, I bought this new computer and it came with Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits, with 30 days of activation.

Now, I want to activate it and I have a MSDN account, wich provides original keys for microsoft products.

The problem is, even if I get one of those keys, my windows 7 says it is not valid.

Any guess on how to fix it?

I tried the keys for x64.

No as I didn't buy any OP to my computer because I had those MSDN keys.

He just installed it so I could activate it.

But for now I really don't know why its not accepting the keys.

But the windows says :"You have 26 days to activate it"

So I can use it for around 26 days (as I already used 4)

If you have an MSDN account, I suggest you download a fresh, legal copy and make your own DVD. Then install it from scratch.

I would have to format it, and I don't want to do it as I already installed over 70GB on my comp.

Its in portuguese but I think you can understand it.

If you can ask the things you wish me to traslate.

It's very possible that you running a pirate copy of windows and therefore this forum cannot and will not assist you.

But can't a pirate version of windows become a original one if I have a valid key? As microsoft would just give me a key if I buy it?

If the OS was obtained illegally we will not support you. You have MSDN!! Get a legal copy and do the right thing

You really need to start again. You never know what is hidden inside those pirated OSes. Better to be safe then sorry. After you've done it, make an image and store it. Then you'll never need to reinsatll again. We can help you with all this but you really need to get a legal copy and start again. It'll be worth the time it takes

Always know the origin of your software. Ignorance is not bliss.

My advice to you is to call your friend and ask where the copy was obtained from. Then go from there.

If it's pirated, then do what everyone here says and get a legal copy, if not...

you have an msdn account which means you get win 7. just find one of the keys you are entitled to with that account and call microsoft. explain to them what you need. from what i am seeing in your screenshot i do not believe you have a hacked version. normally on a hacked version it will say somewhere on that screen the name of the hacker who made it. you should not have to reinstall everything.
