Greetings,

I have come across a rather unique problem, but as there is no repair/reinstall option with 7 as with vista and this is a full format reload. I figure might as well see if it's a possible recurring error. When I attempt to use any of the activation methods (command line script /direct gui processing) i am getting an error code 0x80070422.
In so far I have not been able to find any information relating to this concerning either vista or 7.

If anyone else has stumbled into this problem, how did you manage to rectify it?

This is just for idle curiousity more than anything though, busy downloading the new build anyway so i'll be re-installing tonight. *Shrugs*

Could be interesting...

Hi Shintorojin, welcome to the forums.

This error '0x80070422' could be caused by a disabled BITS service.

To enable BITS, open the services applet (run services.msc from Start menu) and double click on the Background Intelligent Transfer Service. After that set the startup type drop down box to be 'Manual'.

Hope this helps :)
