Hi,

If I've read the report correctly, I think you need to re-activate this installation using the product key on the COA sticker stuck underneath your laptop (or inside your battery compartment), by going to System Properties, and clicking the 'Change Product Key' link.

I'd love to know where that OEM_SLP Key came from - I have no record of it, and neither does Google.

I have my suspicions about this.....

@Cortex - Welcome to the forums!

Please tell use what 'repair shop' the computer was in - was it in a certified Toshiba repair facility, a corner shop, or what?
It's VERY unusual to see an unknown OEM_SLP Key - especially when the machine is a Toshiba - and it tends to make me think that the current Key may perhaps be counterfeit.

Having said that, assuming the COA sticker on your machine is for Win 7 Home Premium, you should have no problems activating it following Golden's procedure - although you may need to use telephone activation.

Well, the sticker on the bottom can't be properly seen, with only the last couple of numbers/letters capable of being seen.

I got my computer fixed at a place called ComputAble, but I remember he called and asked whether I wrote down the numbers. I said I didn't, and he then said it didn't matter. I ended up getting a hard drive replacement, I think, and lost everything but my music & photos, which he got out of the old one for me.
I also ended up buying one of those laptop desk fan things, so it doesn't get overheated.

Changing the Key would *not*work in your case anyhow, as the COA sticker is almost certainly for Vista rather than Win7

You need to contact Toshiba an order a set of recovery media for your machine, and use that - hopefully the Activation Exploit hasn't actually corrupted the BIOS, and the embedded Key in teh Recovery disks will be able to properly self-activate..

Please follow this tutorial and post an MGADiag report - then we can see what the problem is.

Please also state the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one) on the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but do NOT quote the Key on the sticker!
