I have a 1 terabyte drive which I parition into 3 separate paritions. Two of which have Windows 7 OS's installed on them and one as storage space of video files. Everything is great with the Windows 7 RC installation but now I would like to get rid of the old installation of of Windows 7 Beta. Going through the computer management section of Windows 7 and trying to delete the old parition does not work. You can not even format the parition

you can't format/delete the other partition from within Windows if the boot manager resides on it.

You can delete it from within a Linux live CD/DVD all you want. Or there is a way to move the boot manager using bcdedit. In any case you will need to set the Windows RC partition as active and repair the boot manager which is pretty easy to do using disk management, bcdedit, and the Windows DVD itself.

All of my systems still run fastest on XP 32-bit for the most part. Win7 is fun to play with, but I still prefer XP for raw speed, security, and functionality.
