I tried to get the straight of this from Adata Tools site but didn't see anything on errors.

I've been using my Adata U650 240 SSD for some time. I thought it was loading Win7 flakey so I ran all
Windows checks and repairs routines plus Extended Cleaner from Sevenforums and TFC from Old Timer. I also refreshed the mbr and fixboot.

There are things in the Adata software I should have access to but after install, it shows a small splash screen center of monitor then winks out. The box has some buttons on it which (since I haven't used this in a long time) must run the routines. At one time when the SSD was new I'm sure a ran this stuff. But a fresh download of it has given me nothing to work with. There is no trace of it in the tray as being activated from a shortcut.

I can make a screen shot if needed but it only would show that splash screen. I didn't want to sit through any "hi guys" youtubes on it.

Anyone have problems where it appears that the SSD needs to be refreshed?

I may have found the problem. Just posing these questions to Sevenforums gets my mind working on things I forgot. Recently I added an old memory stick to the Biostar boards with the problem. I pulled that
extra mem stick and have at least one good startup which I wasn't getting. It's different problem, tru but
maybe related. I'll try the ADATA tool again at some point.

Will mark solved when I know more.

I will mark this solved with regard to SSD performance. I looked up other SSD enhancer tools which were free. I used a backup SSD just in case some error happened. So far I've used the free Tweak SSD on the
backup and it's full suite of suggestion wizards. It just guides you through the suggested settings.

The often mentioned trim function is reserved for the paid for version.

So I'll mark this solved. The Adata still does not load. My suspicion is it's looking for Windows 10 since Tweak SSD has a separate product for Win10 or a version 2 for Win7 etc.

I have now run Tweak SSD on the original SSD in question and all seems to be well. I may try what else is
free with the vendor specific tools but this Tweak SDD was easy to use.

One note on Trim. According to How To Geek which has an entry on setting and checking for SSD trim
it says that on Win7 and the rest of modern Windows, trim function is automatically set.

There's two commands to either 1.) check the Trim status or 2.) Invoke the trim command.

those are here: just go to CMD prompt in elevated Admin mode and run like a chkdsk

Code:
 fsutil behavior query DisableDeleteNotify

set trim command run CMD as Admin

[code] fsutil behavior set DisableDeleteNotify 0

Zero signifies Trim is ok. If the command says is 1 the trim command should be run.

Why would a vendor of a free program not add that into the wizards or other prompts for the program?

For my maintenance tools, how would I put trhe commands in two autoexec (that gear symbol Sevenforums uses for these)? I have forgotten those DOS routines-- even as simple as this is.
