export printer settings from server to a client

hi

To add a network printer using GPO isn't a problem, but howto export all printer settings from WIN2008 server into WIN7 client to have the same printer settings on this client like on the server?

No thx, it doesn't help I don't thing you can export printer settings using GP.
Print preferences are in HKCU registry.

I've tried to export/import using the following PrintUI commands:

on a server:
rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /Ss /n "PR01" /a "D:\support\pr01.dat"

on a client:
rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /Sr /n "PR01" /a "S:\pr01.dat"

but get an error by importing on a client computer.

I don't know what's wrong, the printer was added before and is online.

BTW is it any GUI tool to export/import printer settings?

Why do you want to export the settings? Deploying the shared printer using the above method will be easier.

Sorry, but there is a lot specific printer settings and it's a lot of work to set this settings manually on about 1000 WIN7 clients.
We need a possibility to export & import these specific printer settings.
