Hello again,
I am setting up a new computer with SSD boot. Windows7 installed, Driver disk run and ethernet recognized.
Though I've added to the workgroup before on other machines , something keeps this node from displaying on the desktop. No workgroup-- the workgroup is called HOMENET in that way-- is seen even after it said welcome to HOMENET etc.
A broadband box is checked with a green check which I may have selected in error during setup. I disabled that to highlight Local Area Connection (this is all I need or want for the homenet.) That has some settingswhich I am not familiar with.
Opening Network icon is still empty.
Can you help clean this up? If it means re-installing that is totally doable.
