Add company menu to start menu, how?

Hi,

as the question says, I would like to add a menu to the Windows 7 menu which points to a network location.

I've read the tutorials and was able to add a network folder to the programs menu but that's not what I need (it's under a submenu and it just opens the network location instead of working as a menu). Maybe it's possible to solve this problem with classic menu but that wouldn't look very nice...

I would have expected a GPO for this but so far I've found nothing.

So my question is: is there a way to give all my network users access to a menu (much preferred) via the start menu?

And if that's not possible are there any good alternatives? Maybe via a toolbar menu (I haven't found a way yet to set that for all users)?

thanks!

Peekstra.

If you want a nice looking classic start menu, try Classic Shell: http://classicshell.sourceforge.net/. You can customize the menu items as you wish. It is also skinnable and you can make it as nice looking as your skills with Photoshop :)

Hi Ivo,

thanks for the link!

So there is no official way to accomplish this customization? I want to stick as close to the Microsoft supported/supplied options as possible.

thanks!
