Hi Start Menu,

You can make .reg shortcut for adding or removing to Windows Media Player list. However, if it edits a wrong file it might corrupt your registry.

So before using the same it is advisable to have a backup of the registry. Check the link below for same:

Hope it helps.

I see many do it here and i see many download here of the .reg so can you do it? create a 'add to windows media player list.reg')that remove from the Context Menu because i dont know what needed to be removed and put it here so i can Mearge to remove from it and restore if ever change mind for "Add and Remove" like the Link Below

like this they kind enough to let us Download the .reg so any of us dont make a mistake http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/114171-share-restore-when-missing-context-menu.html

Hi Start Menu,

Thanks for your reply. Please let me know what is the end result you are looking forward to have from the ".reg" file.

As you can simply add/remove mulitple or single files in the Windows media player with a two clicks. You can also check Windows Media Player shortcuts at the below link:

Hi Start Menu,

Thanks for explaining the issue. I understand you wish to remove the Windows Media player options from the context menu. Please check these simple steps which would help you achieve it:

Windows Media Player - Restore or Remove from Default Programs

Under Control Panel select Default Programs

1.jpg

Then click "Set program access and computer defaults"

2.jpg

Click on Custom

3.jpg

Uncheck Enable access to this program next to Windows Media Player

4.jpg

I hope this should achieve what you are trying to do. If you have any further queries, please feel free to contact us.
