added syba 4 port usb 3.0, win 7 not recognizing

the title pretty much says it all. when i boot into win 8 or ubuntu, it recognizes them and they work fine, no driver needed. The instructions even say that no driver is needed. Im mainly perplexed as to why it will recognize them in 8 and ubuntu, but not 7

Hi Welcome to Seven Forums .... What is the Model Number ? ... Though some models do not need a Driver they have a Firmware Update ..

a USB 3.0 driver is provided by MS and included in Windows 8. But not for Windows 7. So USB 3.0 on Windows 7 always requires a 3rd party driver that need be downloaded and installed

What is the part number of the card (Syba makes several of them)? I seem to remember a missing driver issue on one of them (that one is correctable).
