Adding a third screen on HP z240 desktop.

Hello,

I have a HP Z240 desktop running windows 7. I am currently running two Dell monitors off of the two main DP outputs. If you look in the picture, there are two unused DP jacks. When I plug screens into there it doesn’t seem to output anything. Any idea how I can utilize these for extra screens?

Have you tried the dvi output from the graphics card?

I have not tried the dvi yet as I don’t have a cable.

I expect the cpu graphics wont be output while you are using the graphics card. So it makes sense to try the grahics card dvi out to see if you can use a 3rd monitor from that.

Adapters are quite cheap.
