Adding 'open in new window' to search results, & opening in new window

Whenever I search in W7, I want to have the ability to open found folders in a new window. If I r-click, that option is not there. Is there a way to add this to W7?

Also: When I go to 'open file location', the file's folder opens in the same window - highly annoying. In Vista, it opens in a new window. Anyway to change this behvior in W7 to act like Vista, so the file opens in a new window?

assume this option was there on your windows 7 earlier? did you make any changes to your computer recently?

No it wasn't.

Have you tried setting the Folder Options to open folders in new window? It's in Folder Options under the Tools tab.

No - if I set that pref, each folder will open in it's own window - dont want to do that...

Ok, my bad, partially.

When search results for folders appear, the 'Open In New Window' is there - it's up at the top, didnt see it, my mistake.

So this is partially solved.

But I am still looking for a resolution to the other part - for files. The 'open file location', opens the file's folder in the same window - I am looking to get the file to open in a new window. Vista has this behavior. And Vista is NOT set to open folders in new window in the Folder Options.

Any way to do this?
