additional partition cannot be created

hi
i have pro book 4530 s .i formatted the hard drive and hp-tools drive deleted . when i was going to install one driver ,that driver needed to installed on "HP-tools" drive the driver installer said do you want to create the hp-tools drive i clicked on yes :
but this error was shown:
main drive already has four partitions,additional partion can not be created
(also when i was going to install windows i couldn't have more than 3 partition!)


please help me

You should post a screenshot of your Disk Management window so we can see what is going on.

Start > type: "comp" > click "Computer Management" > click "Disk Management"

Do you have any data that was on on that E: drive? Are you missing data?
What is happening is that the E: partition is your 4th "drive", but you can't see it or use it in Windows because it is RAW.

If you are sure there is no data on that E: partition (248GB), then you could delete it in Disk Management and the create a new partition and format it NTFS. Then the partition will be usable.

You can not create more than 4 Primary partitions on a MBR drive. If you try you may convert the disk to a Dynamic Disk, which you do not want to do. If you need more than 4 partitions you can create an Extended Partition with Logical Drives.

That HP driver is a problem. You should not have to create a partition to install a driver IMO. I would look into options to install that without the HP Tools partition.

when i bought the lap top there wasn't any cd or dvd in it

I suspect you will have to do a full clean install of w7. HP tools partition maybe would have had this in it.

As TVeblen said the driver should not want the tool partition to install. What was the driver?

thanks alot . when i bought the laptop there was suse platform on it. i formated the disk completly and i dont have HP tools partition now

the driver need that partition is Bluetooth

I wouldn't trust it from a torrent. I think you're going to have to to a reinstall and you won't have the HP tool partition. Contacting HP support may help. It would also have to be the exact recovery iso for your specific system.

All of the drivers offered by HP for the 4530s are designed for use with the HP SSM utility (System Software Manager). They are denoted by a blue swirl.

Since you deleted the HP tools partition that utility no longer exists. Most likely the driver package is looking for the partition and the utility before it will begin loading drivers.

You might see if you can install that one utility individually on your system so you can install the HP drivers. One thing I don't like about that utility is that it says it updates drivers automatically. Never a good idea IMO. You might see if that "feature" can be turned off.

Or you might determine the brand and model of the device you need the driver for and see if you can get a 'clean' driver from the manufacturer.

If you clean install Windows I'm afraid you will still be looking for a way to install that Bluetooth driver.
